Alycia’s Bio
I was lucky to figure out what I wanted to do for my career in high school. I was even luckier that we knew someone with a B2B agency looking for an intern. I juggled interning with a full load of college courses feeling like I was getting a dual education – theory and hands-on training. Upon graduation I hit the ground running, able to handle public relations, account management, traffic & tradeshow planning.
I moved to The Quest Business Agency and put those skills to use. I gained even more in the areas of research, strategic planning, direct marketing & advertising. My next move was to Fogarty Klein Monroe (FKM) where I was challenged with turning around the Motorola account. After 8 months on the job and an agency review, we received 4 out of 4 stars equating to “walking on water” for improvements made to their account. From there I was fortunate to lead the results-driven Dell business for 10 years. I expanded my B2B experience to B2C working on numerous accounts while learning the world of interactive, broadcast & media, among many, during my tenure at FKM. Today I’m pleased to put that knowledge to use for our clients.

I fell in love with account management and the agency life when my career began with an internship at ad agency Steiner Bressler Zimmerman in Birmingham, Ala. My family eventually moved to Boston where I finished university and landed my first job at House of Blues in a true grassroots-no-budget marketing position. After three feet of snow, I decided to move back south and chose the thriving economy of Houston. I joined Kuhlmann, Lutz & Brown where I worked with great clients like Shell and Administaff. I then joined the largest agency in Houston, Fogarty Klein Monroe (FKM). At FKM I worked on Dell Computer, BMC Software and B2C client Resort Condominiums International, all direct marketing accounts.
After FKM, I went back to small agency life at Communications Plus, working with Sam Houston Electric and Texas Emergency Care. My former Dell client then recruited me for a Silicon Valley digital marketing agency, Design Reactor (DR). Assigned to the HP account, I was Account Director for the team that created HP’s virtual events. The work was ground breaking and received many prestigious awards. Following my time at DR, I served as an independent marketing consultant with a concentration in web-related projects. Then one night at dinner Alycia had an idea…
